Here’s to our home-grown athletes who begin the Summer Olympics in Beijing. Don’t count the years but Olga Korbut inspired me to go into gymnastics. While I’ll certainly watch and be interested in other sports, this is one that will captivate my attention.

Congratulations to our swimmers, and to men’s gymnastics team for clinching the bronze. One must wonder what these folks eat! According to Michael Phelps he chows down on thousands of calories a day, several meals at a time at his hometown places. But then you can see that he works it off!
