gave away more than 750 Billion to bail out banks, insurance companies and others.

Here is how my bank is treating me. I had two accounts for years and added my husband when we married. We now have four accounts and are co-signators on all.

Wells Fargo Bank says I need my husband’s authority (him on the phone, on a plane, not a good thing) to pay a fee for our nephew’s private school tuition. Yes, I need my husband’s approval to pay a bill.

It is my account yet they need my husband’s approval to pay what is coming out of my account. They said I needed to look up all Bill Pay information and re-insert it. No-one sends us paper bills any more. It’s a fool’s errand.

The bank reinforced the error by asking us to invest. If I’ve no access to checking, savings, direct deposit or my meager grocery account I will not be using this bank. I’ve found another who is sending information as I write. Twenty years as an account holder (I wrote the president) and I need my husband’s approval to send our nephew to school. Go figure. I pay the bills, and do not need approval to use our funds from Wells Fargo or anyone. Dee

Somehow many years ago a bank account I shared with my husband when we married became his. He is now in a foreign country and probably charged a few dollars on a bill his client would reimburse and the rest on Dr. Pepper. The bank denied the second bill and our bank declined the charge because he was in another country, our friends, Canada.

Even though it is my account they will not talk to me. I’m only “The Wife” who had the bank account years before I met my husband. Now Wells Fargo tells me we have to file travel plans every time we travel across a state border.

Now, I’m worried that my husband will not get a meal for the next several days a lake away because he didn’t file travel plans. Who files travel plans when they go 25 miles to another state for lunch? They’re compiling data for the NSA on our phone calls, emails, texts, cell phone calls. This guy at Wells Fargo Bank told me we were required to file travel plans whenever we go anywhere, otherwise our cards will be suspended.

The kicker is that they never answer the phone, leave you on horrific canned music then tell you that it’s another department and you have to wait again, and again, then the person you finally talk to has to get his supervisor and then they say, only, we have to talk to your husband even though it’s your account.

If I were living a mile from a state border to go to dinner with friends, I would never spend two hours on the phone trying to get permission to do so. Once I got there my credit card would be denied. So much for American freedom. The news tells me it’s easier to buy a gun than eat in another state a couple miles away without filing a travel plan using a credit or debit card. I just want to be able to eat with friends in another state without my bank spying on me for the government. And no, I’ve never held a gun, nor do I wish to do so. I do have credit cards and expect every state to honor them without me calling my bank with a travel plan. I hate banks and don’t trust them or the government. Dee

Nothing Personal

Nothing personal, when one gets laid off with 1/3 of the IT staff of what my mother-in-law calls Oops. It’s nothing personal when you expected to stay three months, then stayed three years in a home and when you give notice as required by the lease, you get treated like dirt.

It’s nothing personal in that we are living in a small apartment with rented furnishings and nothing on the walls, and it’s nothing personal when your bank account gets hacked. For the hackers, it was nothing personal, just routine business.

I told the entire story to our bank, Wells Fargo today, three times and was told they couldn’t help me, that was another division. Then they made me call the company where a card transaction was made and call back.

It’s nothing personal but before you ask me for my SSN and other information can you please connect me to the correct department? Two more transfers, then a machine saying that there’s high call volume and they can’t talk to me right now.

I think it’s time to change banks, but it’s nothing personal. Dee

then it all changed when I found out my husband’s bank account had been cleaned out and as co-signer and spouse on all our accounts my bank wouldn’t talk to me about potential theft on individual transactions.

So now the transgressions go from the thief (I’m trying to find out when the initial theft occurred) to the bank who won’t talk to me as co-owner of the account, to my husband who is out of town on business and our bank had put a hold on and now cancelled his card without authorization.

We just moved to a new city and just bought a street map.The bank won’t talk to me because it’s not my card. Even though I’m on all accounts. My husband is two hours away by car on business and the bank has cancelled his card, has hung up on me and can’t assure he can get home tonight.

So now Identity Theft is my problem. It happened, so I have to deal with it and we’re the suspects according to my bank of many years. Does anyone know what it wrong with this or how I can fix it. It is not my particular debit card so I am not able to tell them what the false charges are.
