I apologize profoundly for our nation on behalf of a president (for whom I did NOT vote three times) who will not. Also to His Holiness Pope Leo XIV, though our president is more like a gnat, politically and mentally, to him. It’s only the damage Emperor Trump continues to wreak on our country and the world that needs to be stopped.
Congratulations to Hungary’s citizens for their huge win in stomping out authoritarianism. What an inspiration you are to a newly-beleaguered people. May we learn from you and keep a “big tent” open for all. Dems, Independents, true Republicans and even reformed MAGA should be welcome in bringing our beloved nation back from the brink of pseudo-theocratic totalitarianism.
There’s a lot of work to set a platform that will fill the holes in our governing documents, keep dark money out of politics, convince voters, get out the vote and keep the election deniers in court striking down increasing their new ways of suppressing and denying us our democracy.
Voting is a right, not a privilege. We elected this government, made this unholy mess, and only we voters can fix it. So we have to roll up our sleeves now, for the duration. A law-abiding (Constitution included) nation with a stable and professional government will right our economy and get us back on track. More to follow, Dee
