Battle

The enemy came upon us with guns blazing. We were taken unaware. We did what we could with the crude weapons we had but were losing.

We brought in reinforcements. They brought more. It took days but finally we won the battle. Now we have to look at the war.

Yes folks, this is my body attacking me. My reinforcements are medical professionals (thanks Dr. M, Connie and Shar) and serious drugs. Autoimmune diseases are a real pain, and usually only hit me every ten years for a week or so. Misdiagnosed for two decades, that’s not a good thing. Let’s hope this attack is over until I’m really old.

Take care of yourself and your family. Dee
