I sing harmony to classic Peter, Paul and Mary while driving on errands. Lots of Dylan in there too. Don’t think twice, it’s alright is a song where the lyrics are so fantastic it’s a forever favorite. Chills go down my spine.
I’m reminded of the Arlo Guthrie quote which I’ll badly paraphrase. Writing a song is like fishing. Just don’t set up downstream from Bob Dylan.
A couple of years ago I went to my guitar coach bubbling over with news. I’d heard Plain White T’s “Hey There Delilah” and loved it. I finally had a song that wasn’t from the 60’s! Too complicated to play at my level, but it was a breakthrough from Johnny Cash et al. Have a great day! Dee
We’re singing some old gospel: Turn Your Radio On and If I Be Lifted Up (Emmylou Harris) this weekend. Love it!
