Last night my husband and a few other neighbors were walking the dogs and saw an eerie sight. A bunch of guys, large, multiple propane tanks and a smaller version of the hose used at the end of ET so the government folks in hazmat gear could get to the alien.
This morning I saw it, a guy sleeping outside the home and truck and trailer out front with the company name on it. I got online and checked out the name on the truck. These guys do birds, rodents and insects but only work for large companies like hotels and restaurants and specialize in … bedbugs.
They wouldn’t say a word last night to inquiring neighbors, even a member of the HOA Board. From what I found out there is a heat solution that is supposedly eco-friendly and once applied and the home or hotel room cools down, they bring in their canine inspectors to make certain the job’s been done right.
I understand that hotels don’t like to advertise that they have bedbugs so that’s why they were so closed-mouthed. This morning, given evidence of large propane tanks and the company’s purpose, my husband, a phycisist, just asked the guy if it was just a heat treatment for bedbugs and the guy nodded (he’d probably just awakened). So now we know. And hope that none of the little critters are alive and looking for new places to live. I shivered as I wrote that sentence.
