Elizabeth Taylor was a living legend, but I didn’t know her as such. I read and saw National Velvet, then much later I applauded Ms. Taylor for her work on AmFAR. Her serious movies came at a time I wasn’t allowed to see them, such as Butterfield 8, and Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf.
Regardless, I got to see the beginning and end of her life and she is, indeed, a legend. She will be missed. Because there’s no studio system I doubt there will be another like her ever again. Condolences to family and friends, Dee
