Love and Loss

I know that the Catholic church differs but in the end you’re born, live, perhaps marry, have kids and grandkids and die. The Church throws in communion and confirmation and making sure your babies are raised Catholic.

The wedding was held, with a few friends and we had the County authorize a Navy Captain, great friend and mentor, married over fifty years to read our vows and then we went home and called the folks and told them we were married.

We love people, we lose people in our lives. Let’s hope we live our lives to the fullest, help those who are in need, and cherish everyone whose path we cross. We chose our own path to love and life and hope not to have needless loss in the near future.

The Lutherans sing every verse and are generally in tune, Dad likes that. I might tell him of my time at the Church of Christ. There is no organ, piano, guitar or anything but voices. I had to sight-read for the first time in many years but I did it. Dad would be proud. He is loved and will get through this setback. There is no loss on my calendar. Cheers, Dee
