Friends

This blog, and a short stint on Classmates.com has brought former school mates back to me. We moved around when I was a kid. My father always gravitated to the next great job, a strategy that served him well, and we went along.

One of the people who writes into this blog is a guy that I had a crush on when I was ten years old. He had a crush on me too, but neither of us knew it. Now we’re in touch and he shows me photos of his teenage daughters.

My best girlfriend in high school writes in, we didn’t see each other for 25 years and I’ve missed her so much!

Both have culinary insights you can glean from this blog and its comments. It’s tough moving around, finding new friends and we do it now as my husband sees new horizons and creations.

If anything can bring or keep people together, it’s food. Whether it’s Concord grapes or the pots and pans one might purchase, there is room for discourse. Not discord, discourse, talking about recipes and methods and other items of interest.

OK, it’s 187 words so far and I haven’t mentioned anything about politics so I’ll stop now. Cheers! Dee
