I’m hooked on Top Chef but don’t know if I’ll ever get to go back to the sniping, backbiting ways of the wanna-be’s. It’s tough to watch the show here as for some reason it’s on at eleven at night. So I have to try to catch up when I can find a re-run of a new show.
A few things strike me. Of course these master chefs want to win for their chosen charity, but they help each other out (except for that French jerk Ludo who had the tenacity to go against Rick Bayless cooking Mexican food).
It’s also a vastly different atmosphere when there’s one or more female chefs on deck. The males are instantly subdued and seem respectful, as if their mother or grandmother is in the room (not to say the female chefs are old – it’s the feeling).
It’s very interesting to me to see what the masters cook and why. It’s nearly 8 p.m. here and I was able to enjoy yesterday’s episode because my husband’s at a conference. Thanks, Bravo for doing more than Rich Housewives Go Kerflooey. I can’t handle that one. Cheers! De
