Little Ray of Sunshine

That’s what Sunnegga means, and was.

When her folks were away, when she had ACL surgery, she was my little angel. Now I can place her photo on our frig with our other loved ones, including her human “sister” Annie. Jim and I loved Sunni. I took care of her at home or she came to stay with us and she was a lovely guest dog.

Now I know why yellow Labs are close to my heart. Zoe’s an Aussie runty mutt but I’ve always wanted a Sunnegga. You’re going on the frig, Sunni! With all the people and dogs that I love. Miss you guys. Take care, Dee

  1. I just ran into a neighbor I haven’t seen in a while. A while ago I commented on the lump on his dog’s leg, stating that people always wanted me to be doing cosmetic surgery on all the fatty (non-cancerous) tumors on my old dog’s body.

Turns out it was stage 3 cancer and he had her euthanized this morning, as her prospects for recovery were not good even if they took the leg. Such a sad story for these holiday times. I know he has good memories of their time together. D

  2. And Dashiell, a neighbor’s cat, disappeared this morning while movers were there. Turns out he’s just fine and somehow dove into the bottom of a wardrobe box and got taped in! Luckily he’s a talker and they found him straight away and placed him in the bathroom for safekeeping. Cool cat. Hope he enjoys his new home.
