Radio

While I ran around town today I listened to holiday songs that I love and abhor. There’s one day a year when I can turn on the car radio and listen to a heartfelt song and melt into tears. Today was not that day and I only have nine days left until you can call me a curmudgeon.

Today they’re interspersing Christmas songs with US soldiers in Iraq sending messages home. Honey, hand me the Kleenex box. No, the whole thing. I need it!

Cook up some pfeffernusse, lebkuchen, apple shortbread cookies, snickerdoodles, panforte, mincemeat tarts or whatever. Just cook and make your family proud. Dee

  1. I love the nightengale song and most holy songs. I don’t like Grandma being run over by a reindeer.

  2. Which nightingale song? I just learned a new one…

  3. Girl buys bird in cage, has nothing to give the baby Jesus, gives him the bird, it flies out of the cage and the world hears the first nightengale song. It’s a weeper.
