Above is Dad’s 70th birthday trip on a sailing yacht where we sailed the seas of Odysseus on the western shores of Greece. We actually called the trip Chasing Ulysses. And the site at Rhodes was closed for refurbishment.
Here’s one. I was looking for an old family photo. How about this one? It was taken in the Adirondacks with Aunt Betty, my grandfather, great-grandmother Cunigunde and grandmother. Anyone care to sing along to “The Hills Are Alive…”

Top photo is after we sailed (motored) through the strait of Corinth after ten days in the Ionian Sea.
I just love that old photo. A real slice of life. (Maybe we should all wear dresses and a bow in our hair and go walk in the mountains…)
Grandpa Dick with his Concertina! No long braids, though. Those are farm dresses – Jim’s Mom could come up with a few in no time.
We took a photo of all the ladies who help out at Nanny’s at Thanksgiving every year while the guys sleep or shoot skeet or watch football and Margie whipped up chef’s hats for all the girls.
I’m not coming until you have yourself a Concertina! Thanks, Dee
