Posting

Sometimes I have to rein myself in from responding to popular posts. I’ve been physically given my parameters, a narrow swath, in a world of open arms. It always interests me to see what blogs people want to read, and many are rude, closed-minded, scatalogical, racist or otherwise offensive to me.

I’ve an open mind and luckily believe in the First Amendment (let’s debate the 2nd another time when I’m not at a Texas school carrying my “piece” to class because the school board approved it in secret last spring).

All I want to do is share and teach and I can’t believe that in these three months, as of today, over 4,600 have checked in to see what I have to say. Thank you. I don’t ever want to hold a gun (was forced to in gym class, a bb gun in 8th grade and I was a terrible shot – got a D in gym) again and I don’t teach in public schools. I just find it incredible that a Texas school district is allowing its teachers to bring a gun to class.

When I was in high school we had “open campus” and instead of going to McDonalds with my buddies I walked home and swam and sat in the sun. I actually went back to school for gymnastics later on, and every day in the summer. And looked forward to it. No wonder I’m married to my geek husband who I love very much, D.
