Especially since Jim’s been in job interview mode, taking calls and being “on” all the time and flying across the country, now that he’s settled in for a while he needs some time to wind down after a busy work week. OK this is his first full week at his new job.
Friday evening we’re attending a progressive dinner at our lofts. We’ve only been to 1-2 over the past few years but they are interesting and fun, going to three separate lofts for appetizers, dinner and dessert and it’s all catered. Saturday evening we have a baby shower that should be interesting as it’s all couples and families and not just the gals.
Sunday, the company Jim now works for has awarded us box seats for the Astros game! We’ve been to a few games over the years but only in “nosebleed” seats. Nanny, tell Steve we’ve hit the big time! Every home run we’ll watch the train @ Minutemaid Park.
So, breakfasts and lunch are easy. Dinner Sunday night a breeze, perhaps cold dinner. We might even catch a movie on Saturday, depending on what is coming out this weekend. I’m looking forward to a laid-back but busy weekend! Hope you are too, with school right around the bend.
We have to remember not to go to any local stores this weekend as it’s TX Tax-Free Weekend for going back to school and the lines are horrendous. I’ll even grocery shop beforehand. Keep on cooking! Dee
